Malco Automotive Announces New & Expanded Motorsport Partnerships

The company bolsters its recognition in motorsports with sponsorships of the SCCA, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Team Sahlen & more…

Automotive detailing products company, Malco Automotive, has announced several motorsports partnerships for 2025. Racing has been a long-standing part of Malco Automotive, going back to company founder Murray Glauberman’s sponsorship of NHRA driver “Ohio” George Montgomery in the 1960s, company officials stated in a press release. Throughout the 2025 racing season, Malco Automotive will continue supporting several longtime partnerships as well as expanding the motorsports program by signing several new drivers and unveiling additional series support.

Malco Automotive will continue its decade-long partnership with Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course through 2025 with various events both on-site and at the iconic track’s popular driving school. Additionally, Malco Automotive will resume the role of Mid-Ohio’s official detailing brand by offering product support and detailing at various events. Malco Automotive says this partnership will allow it to further engrain itself into the Midwest motorsport community.

The Sports Car Club of America

Malco Automotive has also renewed its partnership with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), allowing the detailing product manufacturer to engage with enthusiastic racers and those looking to grow their motorsports skills nationwide. Now in its second year, the partnership is a natural connection for those drivers needing a quick cleanup before loading in the trailer for a weekend of racing, noted the release.

“We are thrilled to bring Malco Automotive back for a second season as the Exclusive Car Care Partner for SCCA. We know Malco Products has been trusted by shops and detailers around the country for decades, and our members appreciate quality when it comes to their cars,” said Lee Grimes, SCCA partner relationship manager. “This continued partnership is the best of both worlds, giving racers a high-quality product and knowing Malco Automotive will continue to support the values of motorsport.”

Expanding Its Roster of Drivers

Malco Automotive has expanded its roster of drivers to include a variety of new talents, such as Chris Van Den Elzen, a Midwest Championship Off-Road Series driver and owner of VDE Racing. The detailing brand will also bolster its presence in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America Series as it backs McCann Racing for the first time at eight rounds of action around the country in 2025.

Team Sahlen tent, car and crew

Alongside the new additions to the sponsorship lineup, Malco Automotive has also re-signed a partnership with Team Sahlen to keep its race cars looking their best in multiple series of Endurance Sports Car Racing along the East Coast. Another returning driver is Mike Kubiak, a third-generation racer and driving instructor who competes in SCCA, NASA and GRIDLIFE.

“Over the last 72 years, Malco Automotive has been honored to support motorsport in all forms and help push drivers toward their racing goals,” said Jason Yard, marketing manager of Malco Automotive. “These new and continued partnerships are an exciting moment for us. From Porsche Endurance Racing to off-road Class 11 VW Bugs, it’s a good feeling to know Malco Automotive products are there to help.”

Malco Automotive’s continued support of motorsports follows the brand’s long legacy of supporting local racers in and around Ohio. Through these partnerships, Malco Automotive says that it will continue to bolster its recognition within the motorsport community during its recent rebrand and step into consumer sales.
