Restyling Industry Vet Retiring from Roadwire Leather
Restyling industry veteran Tom Corton has retired from his position as sales manager for Roadwire Leather and Signature Automotive Products to pursue an active retirement. Corton’s automotive career spanned more than three decades.
Corton launched his automotive career in 1984 with American Honda. He subsequently moved into the aftermarket arena, assuming the position of national sales manager for American Sunroof Corporation (ASC).
Following his stint at ASC, in 2004 Corton joined the sales team at Inalfa Sunroofs, which later changed its name to Signature Automotive Products. For the past 14 years, he served as a sales manager for Signature Automotive Products and Roadwire Leather, both of which are Roadwire Inc. subsidiaries.
Corton, a self-described car guy, is well known throughout the restyling market for his sales expertise, extensive product knowledge and passion for vehicle personalization.
“I’ve always been a gear head, I love personalization, and I’ve been very fortunate to have worked in the industry my entire life,” said Corton, who is now looking forward to spending time with his family, including his two adult sons, and traveling extensively with his wife, Sharon.
“Tom has had a very rewarding history with Roadwire and a deep history in the sunroof industry,” said Dave Edmondson, senior vice president of Roadwire Inc. and its subsidiaries, Roadwire Leather, Signature Automotive Products, Distinctive Industries, and Classic Soft Trim. “Tom has been instrumental in growing the businesses of many restylers throughout his tenure, and has also become a friend and mentor to countless others. On behalf of the Roadwire organization, we wish Tom and his family much happiness as he pursues the next phase of his journey in life.”
