Newest YENKO Camaro Ready to Hit the Streets
Specialty Vehicle Engineering has revealed the all-new 2020 YENKO/SC Stage II Camaro, which will be powered by a custom-built 1,000-hp, 416-ci (6.8L) supercharged LT-1-based engine.
Only 25 of the limited-edition YENKO/SC Stage II cars will be built, according to the company, and will be based off either the Camaro 1SS or 2SS and available in coupe or convertible versions, depending upon customer preference.
Each model, of which there will be only 25, will have an upgraded HD 10-speed automatic transmission and include many of the performance features available from GM, the company added.
Those features include magnetic ride control; Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes; performance-tuned suspension with unique bushings, springs and stabilizer bars; heavy-duty cooling system including engine oil cooler, dual outboard radiators, transmission cooler and rear differential cooler; limited-slip differential; and dual-mode exhaust system.
The functional 1LE front splitter and 1LE blade-style rear spoiler will help reduce nose lift while keeping the rear firmly planted at speed. Both are available options from GM.
Recaro Performance front seats are also an available option from GM. An optional production SS black and white houndstooth seat trim package is available from SVE.
The exterior features traditional YENKO side stripes and hood graphics, along with a body color-painted carbon fiber hood with custom 1,000 HP badges on the raised hood scoop cowl.
Each of the 25 vehicles will be numbered and include a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin.
