Moran Family of Brands Awards Franchisees of the Year

Moran Family of Brands has announced its annual Franchisee of the Year winners for this year. The company describes itself as one of the nation’s leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair, window tinting and driver safety products.

Franchisee of the Year Award winners were named in each of Moran’s franchise brands. Franchisees eligible for the award must have demonstrated Moran’s core values of D.R.I.V.E. (dedication, respect, integrity, vision, enthusiasm). They also exhibited outstanding service to their customers and provided support for fellow franchisees and the entire system.

Voting for the awards was done by Moran franchisees.

John Olson was named winner in the transmission division of Mr. Transmission, Multistate Transmission and Dr. Nick’s Transmission.

Olson owns two Multistate Transmission shops in the Fort Worth, Texas market. He purchased the Fort Worth store in 1982 and has owned the location in Haltom City, Texas, since 1999. Both stores have experience strong sales figures over the last several years, and Olson has been a member of Moran’s Franchise Advisory Alliance since its inception 15 years ago.  This year is the first time Olson has won the award.

The winners in the Milex Complete Auto Care brand were Albert and Serina Daniel.

The Daniels have owned their Milex shop in Frederick, Maryland for the past 11 years, and added a Milex/Alta Mere co-branded store in nearby Boonsboro, Maryland in 2015.  Albert currently serves on Moran’s Franchise Advisory Alliance and has been a trainer and mentor to other franchisees throughout the Moran system. This is the fifth time Albert has been named Milex Franchisee of the Year, having also won the award in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017.

Randy Durham, for the second consecutive year, was named Alta Mere Franchisee of the Year. He has owned an Alta Mere The Automotive Outfitters store in Plano, Texas since 2003. Durham has served as a mentor and resource for new Alta Mere franchisees who have entered the system over the last several years. He previously won the Alta Mere Franchisee of the Year Award in 2013 and 2017.

Franchisee of the Year winners received an all-expense paid trip to the Moran Family of Brands Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Each of the Franchisee of the Year winners have been longtime and successful members of the Moran system,” said Peter Baldine, president of Moran Family of Brands. “The winners were selected by their peers and have been very active in providing guidance and mentorship to other franchise owners in our system. Congratulations to all of our winners this year.”
