Keystone Automotive Operations Follows the Light, Adds Baja Designs

Baja Designs has been making lighting products for more than 25 years.Keystone Automotive Operations Inc. has added performance lighting brand Baja Designs to its lighting category. Baja Designs for more than 25 years has specialized in engineering the high-performing LED lights, earning its stripes in off-road motorcycle racing. The company offers a variety of applications, including automotive, UTV/ATV, marine, military, agriculture, and industrial.

Baja Design’s founder and lead engineer, Alan Roach, built upon his experience as a Baja 1000 motorcycle racer to develop the first HID motorcycle race light. Since it’s beginnings, Baja Design lights have won every professional and amateur motorcycle and ATV Baja 1000 class, according to the company.

The company was the first to develop a forward-projecting LED light bar in the 2005 Baja 1000, according to Baja Designs. The company continues to innovate within LEDs, specializing in industry-leading light bars and auxiliary lights. It remains committed to emerging technology, spearheading the foray into laser lighting with the world’s first laser light bar and farthest-reaching product on the market, the OnX6 Hybrid, and laser auxiliary light, the XL Laser High Speed Spot, according to the company.

“We call our engineers the scientists of lighting due to their ability to constantly create new auxiliary and OEM replacement lighting systems as vehicles evolve,” Baja Designs stated in a news release. “Our race-winning Laser, LED, and HID lights have been adopted by the vehicle racing community and can be found on most Baja 1000 winning vehicles.”

Partnering with Keystone Automotive will allow Baja Designs to expand the reach of its lighting technologies, accessing new resources, customers and business opportunities through the distributor’s vast network of retail outlets and energetic marketing initiatives, according to the distributor.

“We are excited to welcome Baja Designs to the lighting category here at Keystone-it’s a great addition,” said Scott Percival, Keystone category manager. “Our customers and off-road enthusiasts recognize Baja as a premium lighting manufacturer. It’s impossible to attend industry events like Moab and King of the Hammers and not see their presence.

“We look forward to working with this great brand and growing together.”
