Hemmings will to return to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas with an all-new build, the 1970 Dodge Charger “Sangria.”

Built by Blazin’ Rodz, a renowned California-based custom shop, the notable vehicle will be unveiled during a press conference at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at booth #22493. The following day, automotive legend Chip Foose will make a special appearance for an exclusive signing event from 12:30-2 p.m.

Built to impress under the expert craftsmanship of Riccardo Salatino and his team at Blazin’ Rods, “Sangria” is a true work of craftsmanship, blending high-performance hot rod engineering with custom exotic car design, according to the company. With over 1,500 horsepower delivered by a serial #1 Hellephant engine and featuring a carbon fiber body from Finale Speed, the Charger has been selected for the prestigious SEMA Battle of the Builders competition.

Salatino utilized a combination of modern 3D modeling techniques and old-school coachwork fabrication to bring the vision to life. Following its unveiling, the showstopper will be listed for sale on hemmings.com’s Make Offer platform.

“Our return to SEMA this year is a celebration of the best in automotive craftsmanship. ‘Sangria’ represents the heart of what we do at Hemmings—connecting car lovers with extraordinary builds. We’re honored to be unveiling this stunning Charger and are thrilled to have Chip Foose join us for another unforgettable year,” said Jonathan Shaw, president of Hemmings.

As part of Hemmings’ presence at SEMA, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Foose, one of the most influential automotive designers and builders in the industry and a SEMA Hall of Fame inductee, on Thursday, Nov. 6. He will be signing limited-edition posters of a 1953 Oldsmobile covertible, a classic car purchased from Hemmings Classifieds that has remained largely untouched since 1958.

In addition to the signing, Foose will have the 1953 Oldsmobile Kustom displayed at the SEMA Show. The unique vehicle, featuring Candy Apple Red paint and Dean Jeffries’ original scalloping, has been a true highlight of Foose’s collection. The restored car will also be re-listed on hemmings.com.

Blazin Rodz has been filming a 10-part TV series documenting the “Sangria” build and offering enthusiasts an inside look at the meticulous work behind the scenes. The series will debut on ROKU, with the last episode being filmed during the unveiling of the build at the Hemmings SEMA booth.
