American Expedition Vehicles Debuts New Overlanding Rigs

New for the year, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is debuting two new adventure-ready rigs built from the JL platforms.

“AEV has earned a longstanding record of excellence providing products for the Jeep platform, so we’re pleased to present our new JL350 and JL370 packages for the JL Wrangler,” comments American Expedition Vehicles Marketing Manager Matt Feldermann. “Our new offerings in the JL line were a natural progression for us, and initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. AEV is a brand that offers enthusiasts the best of both worlds in delivering incredibly capable overlanding rigs that can tackle just about anything off-road while still being excellent in daily driving conditions. Usually, good off-road vehicles have to make some sacrifices when it comes to on-road performance. There are no such compromises in the AEV JL350 and AEV JL370 models.”

The new AEV JL models begin with a made-in-the-USA stamped steel front bumper. AEV’s front bumper includes two chassis mounted recovery points and a lower skid plate that is engineered to further protect against damage caused by obstacles out on the trail. An optional 10,000-pound Warn Zeon 10-S Winch is also available.

Every AEV JL Wrangler’s Front Bumper is outfitted with a set of the company’s 7000 series LED off-road lights.

AEV designed an all-new rear bumper system for the JL Wrangler. The rear bumper design incorporates frame-mounted tubular steel corner protection alongside a swing-out tire carrier to keep the oversized spare held securely in place in case of an emergency. AEV also includes their JL-specific CHMSL (third brake light) to keep customers legal and to double as a rear vision camera mount.

The robust nature of the AEV JL Wrangler lies within the suspension systems implemented into each JL vehicle, AEV said. AEV’s DualSport RT Suspension System gives the AEV JL Wrangler a smooth, balanced ride even in advanced off-roading conditions. This new suspension system includes AEV’s frequency-tuned, triple-rate coil springs to provide 2.5-inches of additional front and rear ride height to the JL and a set of AEV-tuned Bilstein 5100 series shock absorbers.

American Expedition Vehicles badging is incorporated throughout each JL350 and JL370 model. Every AEV JL350 and JL370 is built in AEV’s Wixom, Michigan, production plant and adorned with a special serial-numbered VIN plate. AEV JL350 and JL370 Wranglers also include exclusive exterior emblems, windshield bannering with AEV branding, embroidered headrests and a custom gauge cluster overlay.
