Classic Recreations returns to the collector-car stage at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. Now a Velocity Restorations company, Classic Recreations will present the global unveiling of two ultra-exclusive expressions of pure American muscle, led by the Shelby GT500CR Carbon Fiber, alongside Chris Bumstead’s custom 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. In addition, Velocity Restorations will unveil a 1974 Ford Bronco from its exclusive Founder’s Series, an invitation-only collection of one-of-one “Re-Engineered Classics” built to make every arrival feel as memorable as the drive, company officials said in a media release.
Following the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, Classic Recreations will showcase the carbon-fiber Shelby GT500CR and custom Boss 429 Mustang at the 2026 SEMA Show.
Carbon-Fiber Shelby GT500CR Build Specs
Headlining the display at the SEMA Show is the world’s only production, fully licensed, ground-up Shelby GT500CR forged with a fully carbon-fiber body. Officially licensed by Shelby and recorded in the Shelby Worldwide Registry, this ultra-limited GT500CR combines the unmistakable presence of the original Shelby Mustang with modern materials and performance engineering. The vehicles represent the next chapter for Classic Recreations under Velocity ownership, with a renewed focus on engineering, performance, craftsmanship and the driving experience, the release noted.
The Shelby GT500CR Carbon Fiber integrates a Wegner-built, Whipple-supercharged Gen 4X Coyote V-8 with a Suncoast 10-speed transmission, Detroit Speed chassis, Nitron electronically controlled suspension and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. FuelTech standalone engine management and traction control support the powertrain, highlighting the integration of advanced controls and performance hardware within a classic platform. Every inch is engineered to deliver an intoxicating, raw connection between driver, machine and asphalt, the company said. The GT500CR will be featured in FuelTech’s booth (#24431) in Central Hall.
Supercharged Megazilla-Powered Boss 429 Restomod
Sharing the spotlight with the GT500CR is the physical embodiment of unbridled horsepower and tailored luxury: a one-of-one custom 1969 Boss 429 Mustang commissioned by six-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead.

Crafted to echo Bumstead’s relentless drive, this bespoke machine fuses street presence with custom interior artistry and a menacing powertrain. A Whipple-supercharged 7.3-liter Ford Performance Megazilla V-8 is paired with a Suncoast 10-speed transmission, Detroit Speed chassis, JRI shocks and Wilwood brakes. A carbon-fiber driveshaft, Forgeline wheels and personalized interior details complete a build that combines Bumstead’s specific design with integrated performance engineering. Chris Bumstead’s Boss 429 will be located in Central Plaza NL19.
