The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF), a 501(c)(3) organization supporting individuals and families in the aftermarket during times of hardship, has welcomed Jason Morgan & Gary MacCausland to its board of trustees.

Morgan Brings B2B Media Experience to AACF Board

Morgan, executive content director at Babcox Media, succeeds Jim Merle, vice president/group publisher at Babcox Media, and brings more than 20 years of experience in business-to-business media. At Babcox Media, Morgan leads editorial strategy, audience development and content operations across the company’s automotive, trucking and aftermarket media brands. His industry knowledge and relationships will support AACF’s efforts to raise awareness and connect more families with available assistance, organization officials stated in a press release.

“I’m honored to join the AACF Board and contribute to an organization that provides meaningful help to people throughout the automotive aftermarket when they need it most. I look forward to putting my experience and relationships to work in a way that can genuinely help make a difference in their lives,” said Morgan.

“Jason understands the people and businesses that make up our industry, and we’re excited to welcome him to the board,” said John Kairys, executive director of AACF. “His experience in industry communications will help us reach more people who may need our support. We also extend our sincere thanks to Jim Merle for sharing his time and talents with AACF and helping us carry this mission forward.”

MacCausland Brings Tire & Service Leadership to AACF

MacCausland, chief operating officer of VIP Tires & Service and longtime advocate of AACF, joins the board as he steps into his role as president of the Tire Industry Association (TIA). He is replacing Debra Hamlin on the AACF board.

MacCausland brings more than 35 years of experience in the automotive tire and service industry, most of it in leadership roles. Raised in an automotive family, he developed an early appreciation for the business and the people who make it successful, the release noted. Throughout his career, he has focused on investing in his teams, developing talent and helping employees grow into leadership positions.

For the past 15 years, MacCausland has helped guide the growth of VIP Tires & Service, a 100-year-old, family-owned company now led by its third generation. AACF says that his experience and longstanding support of the organization will bring a valuable perspective to the board as the foundation works to reach more aftermarket employees and families facing unexpected hardship.

“I am excited and honored to be part of an organization that is committed to taking care of the members of the automotive community and their families,” said MacCausland.

“Gary has great familiarity with the AACF, and we’re pleased to welcome him to the board,” added Kairys. “He understands this industry and cares about the people who work in it. His experience and relationships will help us reach more families who need assistance. We also thank Debra Hamlin for her service and the time and care she has given to our mission.”
