The Wheel Group (TWG)—a designer and distributor of aftermarket wheels, accessories and off-road performance products—announced the appointment of Wade Kawasaki as chief executive officer, effective August 1. Kawasaki has served as executive chairman since Oct. 2022, working with company leadership and financial partners to shape a long-term strategy focused on growth, innovation and customer experience, company officials stated in a press release.
TWG says that Kawasaki’s move into the CEO role marks the next phase in the company’s focus on execution. Over the past three years, he played a key role in setting strategic priorities, strengthening leadership, and leading the transformation of the sales organization to better support its dealers and partners.
Kawasaki brings more than 30 years of experience in the global automotive aftermarket. He previously served as president and CEO of the Coker Group and as chairman of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). Known for his ability to turn strategic vision into operational results, he brings a proven track record in both long-term planning and hands-on execution, noted the release.
Leading the Next Phase of Growth for TWG
With additional investment from its financial partners, TWG says that it is advancing key initiatives that will elevate its capabilities and further strengthen its position as a market leader. These include enhancements in customer experience, accelerated product development, expanded dealer programs and infrastructure upgrades. For customers and partners, these efforts will deliver faster delivery times, a broader and more competitive product lineup, and improved service and consistency across every area of the business.
“We have a strong team, a clear direction and real momentum across every part of the business,” said Kawasaki. “My focus is on translating that strategy into results that matter for our customers and partners. I am proud to lead TWG into its next phase of growth.”
