VinFast & INKAS Deliver Fully Certified Armored Electric SUV

INKAS, an armored vehicle manufacturer, announced the completion of a research and development (R&D) collaboration with VinFast, an electric automaker in Vietnam. This project has resulted in the creation of the Lạc Hồng 900 LX, a fully electric armored SUV engineered to meet some of the highest international standards for ballistic and blast protection, company officials stated in a press release.

INKAS claims the Lạc Hồng 900 LX represents a significant technological achievement in the armored EV segment. By leveraging advanced engineering and rapid innovation, the company brought the R&D project to completion within an accelerated timeline, overcoming obstacles that many industry experts believed unachievable under such conditions, noted the release.

The Lạc Hồng 900 LX has been fully homologated for operation in Vietnam, a significant accomplishment given the country’s strict regulatory environment.

Extensive Blast & Ballistic Testing

The Lạc Hồng 900 LX combines VinFast’s advanced electric mobility platform with INKAS’s decades of armoring expertise to deliver a dependable and secure product. The vehicle has undergone rigorous third-party ballistic and blast testing to ensure maximum occupant safety:

• VPAM VR7-certified, providing high-level ballistic protection against rifle fire and armor-piercing threats.
• Successfully withstood over 400 laser-guided rounds during live ballistic testing.
• Certified to withstand the simultaneous detonation of two DM51 hand grenades beneath critical areas of the floor, an exceptional achievement in EV engineering, especially given the protection of the high-voltage battery system.

The Lạc Hồng 900 LX Meets VPAM VR7 Certification

INKAS engineered a custom armoring schematic for the Lạc Hồng 900 LX, enabling it to pass VPAM VR7 certification, one of the most stringent international standards for armored vehicles. This certification validates the SUV’s ability to maintain structural integrity under extreme live-fire and blast conditions, stated officials.
