Three of the first-ever Tesla Cybertrucks are now on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum as part of “Inside Tesla: Supercharging the Electric Revolution.”
The world’s first Tesla exhibit, which opened in November 2022, sees the addition of three new Cybertrucks, including the Cybertruck tested by a Thompson machine gun in a video shown during the much-anticipated delivery event, plus an early production model and a bare frame.
The production truck and frame are available for viewing in the museum’s main lobby, while the bullet-riddled truck will be on display in the exhibit.
“No vehicle in recent memory has captured the world’s attention like the Cybertruck, and we are delighted to provide our guests with an up-close look at these important pieces from Tesla’s history,” said Terry L. Karges, Petersen Automotive Museum executive director. “This exhibit has proven to be incredibly popular, and it is a fascinating walkthrough of how the brand became a global phenomenon.”
The exhibit offers an in-depth look at the past, present and future of Tesla in the Mullin Family Grand Salon and Phillip Sarofim Porte Cochere on the museum’s first floor. The exhibit explores the company’s history, from early inspiration and humble beginnings to its rise as a world leader in electric vehicles and clean energy technology.
Gathering the most comprehensive collection of Tesla products to date, the exhibit features everything from early concept vehicles to rarely seen prototypes and world-record-breaking production vehicles.
Beyond vehicles, visitors will enjoy a wealth of information and displays that tell the story of Tesla’s energy ecosystem, manufacturing automation, Autopilot and Full Self-Driving expertise, among others, plus one-off projects with SpaceX, The Boring Company and Hyperloop, museum officials stated.
