SEMA-Backed Legislation Targets Manufacturing Equipment Tax Credit | THE SHOPA California assembly member has introduced a SEMA-backed bill that would offer businesses tax credits for qualifying manufacturing equipment, the organization announced.

The legislation, introduced by Tim Grayson (D-Concord), would create a state tax credit for businesses that would be equal to what the business pays in local sales tax, SEMA said.

The bill is scheduled to be heard in the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation on April 17.
