Roush Unveils Ram 1500 Direct Connection Package

Roush Performance has revealed its latest OEM customization: the all-new Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush, which combines Ram’s proven light-duty truck platform with Roush’s decades of performance-vehicle development experience, company officials stated in a press release.
Built on a 2027 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 with the 5.7L HEMI V-8, the Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush adds exclusive Roush upgrades to the already well-appointed Ram 1500. Each truck starts with the exclusive Direct Connection Package, Level 2 Equipment Group and 3.92 rear axle.
The Direct Connection Package adds key factory content, including the Sport Performance Hood, Night Edition Package, Mopar leather seats, Protection Group, off-road running boards borrowed from the TRX, surround-view camera system, electronic locking rear axle (ELocker), trailer brake controller and rear wheelhouse liners.
Suspension, Wheels & Exhaust Upgrades
Roush has also outfitted the Ram 1500 with a suite of performance-focused components designed to improve stance, capability and presence, noted the release. At the core of the package is the Roush Performance 2.0 Coil-Over Suspension System, engineered with custom-tuned twin-tube hydraulic dampers to enhance off-road performance while maintaining confident on-road drivability.
The system also maintains the truck’s factory ADAS and towing capability, helping retain the usability expected from an OEM-level vehicle program. The truck grips the ground with 33-inch General Tire Grabber A/TX tires wrapped around 18-inch performance wheels with Roush “R” center caps and black lug nuts.
In addition, the Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush features an Active Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System with branded black exhaust tips, giving the truck a deeper and more aggressive tone. With selectable exhaust settings, drivers can tailor the sound of the truck.
Exterior & Interior Styling Changes
Roush designers also added a full range of exterior styling upgrades. The package includes aggressive hood vents with hood graphics, fender flares with integrated clearance lighting, a unique grille with red “RAM” lettering and accent lighting, a paint-matched bumper with red tow hooks and lower side rocker graphics. USA bedside flag graphics, rear badging and additional Roush exterior graphics complete the look.
Beyond its stance and exterior design, the Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush was developed with real-world truck capability in mind, the company said. The 3.92 rear axle, ELocker, Protection Group skid plates, trailer brake controller and available Trailer Tow Package II provide added confidence for off-road driving, towing and daily use. Combined with Roush’s suspension, wheel, tire and exhaust upgrades, the package delivers a more distinctive and capable Ram 1500 without sacrificing the fit, finish and integration expected from a factory-backed truck.
Inside, the Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush package includes Direct Connection-branded floor mats and badging on the center console and passenger-side upper glovebox. The well-equipped base vehicle also includes Mopar leather seats, a surround-view camera system, and additional Ram equipment selected specifically for this package.

Colors & Pricing
The Ram 1500 Direct Connection by Roush is available in Bright White, Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat, Forged Blue Metallic, Granite Crystal Metallic and Molten Red Pearl-Coat. The Roush package starts at $15,995 above the original vehicle’s purchase price, bringing the total package MSRP to approximately $78,960. All Roush components are covered by a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty.
