Rago Fabrication Partners With Doetsch Off-Road for A Race Against Blindness
Money raised by fourth-gen Tacoma Trailhunter Overland build will help fund research & treatments to fight childhood blindness…

Rago Fabrication has announced a partnership with Doetsch Off-Road to help produce a 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter Overland Build for A Race Against Blindness. The fundraiser is currently live and will remain open until 11:59 p.m. MST on May 26.
A Race Against Blindness is a non-profit organization that raises money to fund research and treatments to fight childhood blindness. After their son Luke was diagnosed with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS), Kristina and Steve Johnston started the charity to help find a cure for BBS, Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and other low-vision disorders. As a way to raise money, they host fundraising events on their website where donors can purchase entries for a chance to win concert tickets, vacation packages, vehicle builds and more.
Their current off-road build features a 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter and Voyager Xpedition Trailer that was assembled and wrapped by Doetsch Off-Road. The Tacoma build boasts high-end parts and gear that are suited specifically for off-road and overland adventures. Rago Fabrication contributed their Center Mount Winch Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, Roof Rack, Roof Rack RIGID Round Light Mount, Roof Rack Decking Panels, Ditch Light Brackets, Bed Rack Crossmembers, Bed Cab Molle Panels, Bed Side Molle Panels and Bed Channel Stiffeners.
Multiple Companies Have Donated to the Build
A Warn Industries EVO 10-S Winch is mounted to the front bumper. The Tacoma features a Westcott Designs 1.5” Lift Kit and Rock Sliders. Additionally, the truck is equipped with Method Race Wheels with 35” Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires. All the lights found throughout the build were donated by Rigid Industries. Mounted on top of Rago’s Crossmembers is a Freespirit Recreation tent. The 2024 Tacoma build also comes with a 2025 Voyager Xpedition Trailer that offers high-end luxury features for the perfect overland living arrangement.
Daniel Bohler, brand manager for Rago, stated, “It is always an honor when we get the opportunity to work with Kristina, Steve and Luke. Witnessing the off-road community come together to not only assist in creating exceptional off-road builds but also to participate in each fundraiser has been an inspiration to us all. It is extraordinary to see what we can accomplish as a community. As always, it was a pleasure to partner with Doetsch Off-Road and help bring their vision to fruition. I want to send a big thank you to everyone who sponsored the 2024 Tacoma Overland Build, and I want to encourage everyone to participate in the fundraiser. Together we can help A Race Against Blindness cure pediatric low-vision disorders.”
Visit A Race Against Blindness for more information on their mission and a chance to win this 4th Gen Tacoma Overland Build. All donations will help Luke and other children affected by low-vision disorders get one step closer to vision-saving treatment.
Rago Fabrication says that it would like to thank Doetsch Off-Road, Xpedition Trailers, Westcott Designs, Rigid Industries, Method Race Wheels, Nitto, Warn Industries, and Freespirit Recreation for their part in making this extraordinary Overland Build.
