Racecar Engineering Hosts Annual Vendor College Event
Held during Speedweeks, racers & factory reps get a chance to connect…
Racecar Engineering will host its annual “Vendor College 2024” event for racers and racing teams during Speedweeks. The event will take place 9 a.m.-3p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Racecar Engineering facility in Lakeland, Florida.
“Many racers and teams know that it can be hard to get up-close and personal with brands and factory reps. When you’re at the track, it’s tough to connect with 100% focus between set-up, practice and qualifying,” said Steve Dorer of Racecar Engineering. “We’re giving these teams the opportunity to meet our vendors face-to-face to discuss technical questions and solve problems. Racers may learn something to get the winning edge on their 2024 racing season.”
Racecar Engineering sets aside one day during Speedweeks to allow drivers, teams and dealers to interact one-on-one with factory personnel from nearly 90 product manufacturers they represent.
“RCE is fortunate to be at the crossroads during these two exciting weeks of short-track racing. The majority of racers will be passing right through our city,” Dorer continued. “This is one of the less busy days, so we officially open Racecar Engineering to allow vendors, racers and dealers to meet in-person.”
RCE’s Vendor College 2024 will feature a tent packed with factory personnel displaying racing parts and handing out product literature.
The event will also include goodie bags for a few hundred people featuring factory literature, decals, and a few surprises. Food and refreshments are available for a small charitable donation.
There is also a charity raffle courtesy of participating manufacturers, activities for the kids and great deals on racing parts, the company noted.
Manufacturers scheduled to be onsite during the Vendor College 2024 include: AFCO Racing, Allstar Performance, Alcon Brakes, Bassett Wheel, Bert Transmission, Bilstein, Cometic Gasket, COMP Cams, Daytona Sensors, Design Engineering Inc., Driven Racing Oil, DRP Performance, Edelbrock, FAST Electronics, Five Star, Fragola Performance, HANS, Hawk Brakes, Holley, Hyperco, Intercomp, Longacre Racing, Maxima Racing Oil, MPD Racing, MSD, PEM Racing, Powermaster, Pro-System, QA1, QuickCar Racing, RaceQuip, Simpson, Strange Oval, Stilo, Swift Springs, TI22 Racing, Velocita, Wilwood Brakes, XS Power Battery and dozens more.
Vendor College 2024 is free to attend, and all proceeds from raffles tickets and food donations directly benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners International, the primary charities of Racecar Engineering.
Since its inception, Vendor College events have raised close to $30,000 for charity.
