Pomona Dragstrip Used as Drive-Through Food Pantry | THE SHOPThe Pomona, California, dragstrip known for being the home of the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals and the Auto Club NHRA Finals is serving a new purpose during the COVID-19 pandemic, hosting a drive-through food pantry on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

Fairplex, the 487-acre facility that is home to the dragstrip, announced the partnership with Sowing Seeds for Life, a La Verne, California, food pantry. The partnership will last until the pandemic is over.

The food will be provided to all county residents with proper ID who drive in Gate 17 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., or until supplies last.
