Polar Tint Sees Growing Interest From Prospective Franchisees

Polar Tint—an operator-built window film, ceramic coating and paint protection franchise—is seeing a steady rise in inquiries from prospective franchise owners across the country as it continues to open territory applications state by state, according to company officials in a press release.
Territories are currently open for franchise development in 31 states, with additional states moving through the registration or filing process required before development can occur. Polar Tint runs on a single-bay model built around six revenue lines: window tint, ceramic coating, paint protection film (PPF), commercial film, residential film and vehicle wraps.
“We’re hearing from a lot more first-time buyers and veterans who want to run a real business without a massive upfront check,” said a Polar Tint franchise development spokesperson. “The interest keeps building because the model is easy to understand: manufacturer-direct pricing, several ways to make money from one bay, and a protected territory system that rewards the people who build it.”
The company points to several factors behind the growing interest:
- A comparatively low cost of entry versus larger, multi-service auto-styling franchise systems
- Manufacturer-direct film, ceramic coating and paint protection film supply through affiliate Glacier Manufacturing, which the company says helps keep material costs down for franchisees
- A 25% discount off the initial franchise fee for veterans and first responders
- A listing on the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Franchise Directory, which can streamline access to SBA 7(a) financing
- Membership in the International Franchise Association (IFA) and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA)
The Polar Tint model is built on affiliate window tint shops that have operated continuously in the Las Vegas market since 2015. Those shops, and the day-to-day playbook built from running them, form the foundation of the franchise system’s training, supplier relationships and territory-award process, the company said.
