NASCAR Reveals Details of Garage 56 Le Mans Car

NASCAR has revealed some new details about its Garage 56 entry for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the organization announced.

During the car’s livery reveal, Hendrick Motorsports, the team managing the entry, also offered a glimpse at the experimental car’s specifictions.

Weighing in at 2,960 pounds, the car is more than 500 lbs. lighter than the 3,485 pounds of the current Cup Series racer. In addition to the numerous dive planes and other aerodynamic adjustments, the target horsepower figure for the car is rated in the “high seven hundreds,” Hendrick Motorsports said.
