LINE-X Corporate Restructure Spurred by Acquisition
LINE-X has acquired Ultimate Linings and subsequently formed a new parent corporation called IXS Coatings.
The merger of Ultimate Linings and LINE-X Protective Coatings combines both companies’ product lines and project experience to give industrial and manufacturing customers more choices for their protection and surface enhancement needs. Manufacturers may choose from proprietary products across both brands.
LINE-X’s extensive nationwide network of automotive aftermarket and protective coatings retail franchises will continue to offer exclusively LINE-X spray-on bedliners, LINE-X protective coatings, and truck accessories including Truck Gear by LINE-X, according to the company.
LINE-X franchises will not offer Ultimate Linings products. Conversely, dealers offering Ultimate Linings products will not offer LINE-X products. These independently owned and operated businesses will not modify their current offerings.
IXS Coatings will offer complete coatings solutions worldwide. Through a combined coatings portfolio, customers will have access to proprietary coatings ranging from high-pressure polyureas and cartridge systems to specialty formulations developed for fire resistance, thin-build application, potable water storage, chemical resistance, and UV stability, according to IXS Coatings.
Manufacturing and industrial customers will benefit from shared polyurea application expertise, spray equipment installation, and cutting-edge coatings development, according to IXS Coatings. The company also will employ highly skilled technicians and applicators that can implement robotic spray systems and provide application expertise to customers.
