Lamborghini Revuelto SV Sets Lap Record at Hockenheimring Ahead of World Debut

Ahead of its world premiere on Aug. 14 at The Quail, the new Lamborghini Revuelto SV set the fastest lap record by a production car at the Hockenheimring, company officials announced in a press release. Lamborghini factory driver and test driver Marco Mapelli set the lap time of 1:41.6 in the new super sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese.
“The new Revuelto SV represents an extraordinary expression of our vision for a Lamborghini super sports car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “Every element of the car has been developed with the goal of taking performance to an even higher level, enhancing the driving engagement and emotion that have always defined our brand. The record achieved at the Hockenheimring is the result of this approach and demonstrates how innovation, technology and engineering expertise can be translated into tangible, measurable results.”
A New Benchmark at Hockenheimring
Automobili Lamborghini selected the Hockenheimring to establish an internationally recognized performance benchmark, noted the release. Home to Formula 1, DTM and GT racing, the German circuit is regarded as an authoritative reference for evaluating a vehicle’s dynamic capabilities, both for professional racing drivers and gentleman drivers. Its layout—combining high-speed sections, heavy braking zones and technical corners—provides a comprehensive assessment of a vehicle’s performance under highly representative conditions.

During this year’s Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini’s new Revuelto SV will lead a series of premieres, such as the U.S. debut of the new Urus SE Performante, as well as the global presentation of the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage as part of the brand’s celebrations of the Miura and 55 years of Miura SV, the company said.
