KW Group & Ryan Tuerck Racing Join Forces

Tuerck & KW automotive brands plan to collaborate on various motorsport projects in 2025…

American Formula DRIFT racer Ryan Tuerck will partner with KW Automotive to develop various motorsport projects throughout the year. The vehicles will be equipped with components from Belltech, KW suspensions, Reiger Suspension and ST suspensions.

The season starts with the U.S. Formula DRIFT Championship in Long Beach, California, on April 4-5, 2025. Tuerck is a title favorite and will compete in the Formula DRIFT Championship with his 1,054-hp Rain-X Toyota GR Corolla with a three-way ST suspension XTA plus 3 coilover suspension kit.

“It feels like coming home,” said Tuerck, a New Hampshire native who has been active in Formula DRIFT since 2007. “KW was one of my first partners when I started racing professionally, and it’s exciting to have the chance to collaborate with the entire KW automotive family again across all my builds and competition vehicles.”

Various Toyota Projects Are Currently Being Developed

Additional project vehicles from the KW Group will be built throughout the year, all featuring high-performance suspension components. Tuerck will also exclusively utilize products from the KW Automotive brand family across his portfolio of creative builds. His Mobil 1 Heritage Stout Project is based on a classic Toyota Stout pickup truck featuring a bespoke Belltech suspension. With Rieger Suspension, a rally suspension is currently being developed for a Toyota Celica project, which was inspired by the Group A Toyota Celica ST185 from the nineties.

For time-attack races, such as the Global Time Attack in Buttonwillow, California, Tuerck and the KW Group are building a Formula Supra with KW racing shocks. Since the KW Group equips various Toyota motorsport vehicles with its KW suspensions and Reiger Suspension brands, the cooperation with Tuerck underlines this commitment. For example, the Rally Raid Toyota GR DKR Hilux EVO T1U has a Reiger off-road suspension.

In Toyota’s customer racing program, the Japanese manufacturer equips all GR Supra GT4 racing cars, including Evo versions, with KW racing kits, and even unique models, such as the Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition, have a KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension on board ex works.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan Tuerck back into the KW Automotive family,” said Michael Belcher, director of sales and marketing for KW Automotive North America. “Ryan’s unique mix of competitive motorsports and creative automotive projects showcases the versatility of our premium suspension products, and we’re excited to support him across his many endeavors.”

With over 1.7 million subscribers on his social media channels and his love of grassroots motorsports, Tuerck is one of the most well-known players in U.S. drifting. Since 2020, he has competed in Formula DRIFT for the Papadakis Racing Team. He achieved notoriety outside the U.S. scene with his Toyota G4586, powered by a Ferrari 458 engine, which has generated over 70 million views on various channels and even competed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
