Hot Shot’s Secret Backs Make-A-Wish Fundraiser
Hot Shot’s Secret is lending its support to a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish chapter that serves Philadelphia, Delaware and the Susquehanna Valley, the company announced.
The fundraiser, the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy, financially supports 75% of wishes granted for children with critical illnesses in communities located in the Susquehanna Valley, the organization said. The organization’s goal is to raise $700,000 through the fundraising efforts of individuals and teams through the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy and Carnival that takes place on the grounds of the Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction held on May 14, chapter representatives said.
In addition to being a community celebration with games, entertainment, food trucks and more, independent drivers and trucking companies raise the funds to help reach the goals set by this chapter with their Mother’s Day convoy, the organization said. Last year, close to 500 drivers and companies participated and Hot Shot’s Secret came in second in the amount of money raised.
This year, Hot Shot’s Secret is again pledging $5,000 in matching funds to support the cause.
“We enthusiastically support this great cause and as of today, our team is in the lead for fundraising,” said Hot Shot’s Secret Brand Manager, Josh Steinmetz. “We hope that even if you cannot participate in the event, you may be inclined to add funds to help make sure these children have a truly meaningful and memorable experience.”
“We are so excited to continue our partnership with the Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day Truck Convoy. It’s a wonderful event for a great cause and we really appreciate all of our friends in the trucking industry that have joined the Hot Shot’s Secret team for this effort,” said Hot Shot’s Secret Director of Branding & Promotions, Kyle Fischer. “Last year, our team was one of the top fundraising teams and we hope to raise even more money this year.”
