DIESEL Motorsports East Coast Diesel Nationals Moves to Maryland

The DIESEL Motorsports East Coast Diesel Nationals is set for Aug. 29 at the Washington County AG Center in Boonsboro, Maryland. The popular diesel performance event, which was previously held in Pennsylvania, will include dirt drags, sled pulling, a truck and tractor show-n-shine and more.

The Western Maryland Pullers Association is helping with the pull and coordinating with the AG Center, according to event officials. Past attendees and local truck and tractor owners are invited to the family-friendly event at the fairgrounds, which features paved parking, restrooms and concessions.

The East Coast Diesel Nationals was previously held each July at Numidia Dragway in Pennsylvania. “DIESEL Motorsports invested many years of dollars and sweat into the event, so it was a big decision to move it this year,” says Ron Knoch, president of DIESEL Motorsports.

An Important Stop on the Schedule

For the past decade, the DIESEL Motorsports East Coast Diesel Nationals featured drag racing, sled pulling, a dyno competition and a show-n-shine at various locations in Numidia, attracting large crowds. DIESEL Motorsports brought in $15,000 of clay dirt to improve the competition, Knoch notes.

DIESEL Motorsports continues to recognize Numidia Dragway and its contributions to building an important stop on the annual diesel performance calendar.

“Bob Dimino was always a friend of our diesel trucks, and I always enjoyed his company,” says Knoch. “We wish him the best as we all grow older.”
