Hawaii Dealership Builds Gladiator to Benefit Military, Veteran Organizations
Windward Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM dealership in Kaneohe, Hawaii is building several specialty Jeeps to raise support for organizations serving enlisted military, veterans and their families in Hawaii, the dealership announced.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each EQUIP HEROES Edition Jeep will be donated to select local military and veteran non-profit organizations. The EQUIP HEROES Initiative also aims to highlight the work being done by select military and veteran non-profit organizations, Windward representatives said. The program features discounts on parts, accessories and service for enlisted military personnel and veterans. The EQUIP HEROES Jeeps will be on display in the dealership’s showroom, community events and at charity events and functions.
“We are proud to support our military and veteran heroes and their families here in Hawaii,” said Jerry Romano, owner and general manager at Windward Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM. “These EQUIP HEROES Jeeps are our way of doing our part to show our appreciation and to get the word out about the good work being done by so many here in our backyard. We invite everyone to get involved and help us make a difference for our heroes.”
One of the vehicles is the EQUIP HEROES four-door Gladiator, which has been upgraded with a full slate of off-road equipment. Upgrades include a Mopar 2-inch suspension lift with FOX 2.5-inch diameter aluminum shocks, V6 power paired to an eight-speed transmission, electronic-disconnect sway-bar, 4:1 low gear ratio, heavy-duty rock-rails, open-air tubular doors and a mesh sun-bonnet top. The Gladiator rides on 35-inch ProComp All-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch Rock Monster beadlock wheels.
EQUIP HEROES Edition Jeeps will be featured at events around Oahu and will be on display in the showroom at Windward Jeep’s showroom in Kaneohe.
