Goodguys Previews Del Mar Nationals

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association is prepping for the 22nd Meguair’s Del Mar Nationals, scheduled for March 31 – April 2 at the Del Mar, California Fairgrounds, and offered a preview of the weekend’s festivities, the organization said.

The show will bring street rods from across the country together to vie for the Street Rod d’ Elegance award, the organization said. The event will also include the PPG Lowrider Palace, a gathering of metal-flaked, chrome coated lowriders, while another hall will showcase a group of California’s chopped-top customs.

Other activities include a free Kids Zone with a Model Car Take-and-Make, a swap meet, the Cars 4-Sale Corral and a manufacturer’s midway, Goodguys representatives said. On-track events include the Goodguys CPP “Duel in Del Mar” AutoCross Shootout, a vintage dragster exhibition and burnout contest.
