The FutureTech Studio returns to the 2025 SEMA Show, Nov. 4–7, delivering an interactive experience that brings tomorrow’s automotive aftermarket technology to life, event officials stated in a press release. Located in Central Hall, the space combines hands-on demos, over 45 displays, 30 vehicles and a dedicated Education Stage featuring micro-learning sessions and panels throughout the show.
“Innovation is the heartbeat of the automotive aftermarket,” said Luis Morales, SEMA director of vehicle technology and product development. “FutureTech Studio is where bold ideas meet practical solutions, giving the world a glimpse of how creativity and engineering will shape mobility for decades to come.”
FutureTech Studio Will Explore Four Core Themes
FutureTech Studio celebrates ingenuity from every corner of the industry, from garage-built breakthroughs to multimillion-dollar prototypes, noted the release. Attendees and media will explore innovations in four core themes that represent the future of mobility. Highlights include:
Future Fuels
This theme is focused on the next generation of energy sources from molecules to electrons, including hydrogen and other alternative fuels.
- Hydrogen on Display: Yamaha’s Hydrogen Golf Car and Honda Racing Corp.’s Pikes Peak Hydrogen CR-V headline a lineup of zero-emission vehicles.
- Alternative Energy in Action: Bisimoto showcases an ethanol-powered vehicle, and Oilstain Labs will showcase an alternative powertrain hypercar.
- Infrastructure in Focus: ElektrikGreen demonstrates a mobile hydrogen fueling station, while Artificial Intelligence showcases H2-powered military-grade drones.
- Expert Insights: Twisted Iron Performance joins the panel “The Future of Hydrogen is Here” (Nov. 4, 1 p.m.) to discuss real-world applications.
Drivetrains
From high-performance EV conversions to innovative drivetrain architectures, this section highlights how traditional platforms are evolving to meet the demands of modern mobility.
- EV Conversions: Volt & Steel’s ’58 Corvette EV conversion and Torque Trends’ electrified drivetrains bridge classic platforms with modern performance.
- Performance Builds: Turntide Technologies and Real Motors highlight next-gen battery electric vehicles (BEV) and motorcycles.
- Blazin Rodz will debut a 2026 concept project, along with several development parts in real time.
Manufacturing
This theme explores 3D printing, metal additive processes and scanning-to-CAD workflows that reduce time, cost, and waste while enabling unprecedented customization.
- HP Additive’s Text-to-Print AI Experience lets attendees turn ideas into tangible parts on the spot.
- BigRep’s large-format 3D printer anchors a panel on ROI and efficiency gains (Nov. 5, 11 a.m.).
- Markforged and Project Diamond showcase metal 3D printing, adjacent to Fundamental Motorsports’ Jeep Wrangler featuring metal 3D-printed shocks and a session on off-road applications (Nov. 6, 10 a.m.).
- Digital Thread: Live scanning and CAD workflows from Creaform, and rapid CAD rendering software demonstrations from GLOSSI.io.
Technology
This section showcases how smart technologies are making vehicles safer, more efficient and more intuitive for drivers and passengers.
- AI-Driven Mobility: SPARQ AI debuts its “Back-to-the-Future” car, illustrating how AI transforms the driving experience. A dedicated session explores the future of in-vehicle intelligence.
- Advanced Systems: Additional displays feature ADAS innovations, connected platforms and smart mobility solutions.
FutureTech by Land & Air
Pivotal Aero will display its Helix eVTOL, a personal electric aircraft that takes off vertically. With eight propellers, intuitive joystick controls and a 25-mile range, it’s a bold statement that the future of mobility isn’t just on the ground, the company said.
“At FutureTech Studio, attendees and media representatives can expect more than product displays,” said SEMA trade show director Andy Tompkins. “They will get hands-on with emerging technologies and trends, hear from innovators during live sessions and walk away with insights that can shape their business today and tomorrow.”
