Colorful Miami Theme to Highlight AAT’s Cars & Cigars

America’s Automotive Trust (AAT) will hold its Cars & Cigars: Miami Nights event on Aug. 2 at LeMay-America’s Car Museum (ACM) in Tacoma, Washington. The festivities will include Montecristo cigar and a Cocktail Showdown, as well as a sizzling, flame-fueled evening of open-air cooking styles from the most celebrated chefs in the South Sound, according to AAT.

The theme for this year’s Cars & Cigars-Miami Nights-will champion the Miami automotive scene, complete with a full palette of pastels and supercars galore. Returning for 2019 is the Montecristo Cigar Lounge, which will feature a variety of exceptional stogies, as well as a new Cocktail Showdown, where Heritage Distilling Co., Deep Eddy Vodka and Rouge Ales & Spirits will compete to see which of their mixologists can concoct the perfect Miami-themed cocktail.

“Every year, we look towards our Cars & Cigars event to light up the night in early August,” said David Madeira, America’s Automotive Trust Vice Chair. “At Miami Nights this year, we are challenging our chefs in a Miami cocktail throw down to win the Cars & Cigars: Cocktail of the Year and asking our guests to break out their pastel-colored clothes.”

The event also will include a pig roast from Master Pig Roaster Jonz Catering along with cuisine from leading Tacoma chefs and restaurants. Meals can also be paired with a selection of a refreshing white or a bold red wine from Hedges Family Estate.

In the music department, Los Flacos will employ countless instruments including harp, violin, a spectrum of Andean flutes and many percussion and regional stringed instruments to pay homage to Miami’s Latin American culture. Miami Vice-themed DJ Vice is Nice will transform the night to an ’80s-themed dance party.

“Year-over-year, Cars & Cigars remains one of the Trust’s premier attractions that visitors and locals in Tacoma look forward to each summer,” Madeira added. “None of this would be possible without the help of our many sponsors and the community members who come together to make this event a success year after year.”

Sponsors for Cars & Cigars: Miami Nights include Hagerty, Titus-Will, Auto Warehousing Company, Montecristo Cigars, Heritage Distilling, Deep Eddy, Rouge Whiskey and Olympic Eagle Distributing.
