Bring a Trailer is auctioning a rare 1978 Dodge Ramcharger Top Hand. The first generation of Ramcharger is often the most sought after, with this example being one of around 202 Top Hand examples produced for the U.S. market between 1978-79. All other examples were sold in Canada.
The Top Hand features its original 360-ci V8, rebuilt in 2023 and mounted to a 3-speed TorqueFlite transmission. The Top Hand package was offered by Dodge dealers, but features equipment from Hickey Enterprises.
Special features for the Top Hand included the exterior graphics package, decals, steel spoke color-matched wheels, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, center console, roll bar and a color-matched removable hardtop.
The Ramcharger features a factory-style dual-range transfer case and a dual exhaust system, and the air-conditioning has been removed.
