Accord, F-150, Santa Fe Top CarGurus’ Best Used Cars for 2024 List

CarGurus (Nasdaq: CARG) has announced its 2024 Best Used Car Awards as chosen by a panel of expert reviewers who identified prime candidates in 11 categories.
“With shoppers feeling the pinch of higher interest rates and new car prices remaining 30% above pre-pandemic levels, used cars are a more cost-effective alternative,” said Matt Smith, CarGurus deputy editor.
Some of 2024 CarGurus Best Used Car Award winners include:
- CarGurus 2024 Used Car of the Year: Honda Accord (Tenth Generation)
- Best Midsize Crossover/SUV: Hyundai Santa Fe (Fourth Generation)
- Best Large Pickup Truck: Ford F-150 (Fourteenth Generation)
- Best Luxury Sedan: Audi A4 (Fifth Generation)
- Best Family Car: Kia Telluride (First Generation)
- Best Sports Car: Porsche 911 (992; Eighth Generation)
Nominees were selected from models at least 2 years old and originally for sale in the U.S. Due to the limited variety of electric vehicle (EV) models on the market two years ago, EVs were excluded, officials explained.
Analysis of weekly average inventory data for the past seven years revealed that buying a used car during the week of Feb. 12 on average amounts to a 2.8% savings.
