AACF Rallies Support for Wildfire Victims
The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation is rallying support for automotive industry professionals affected by the wildfires in California.
As many as 17 wildfires are burning across the state, including one of the deadliest fires in California history, with more than 12,300 firefighters on the lines and more than 280,000 acres burned.
Knowing that California is home to many aftermarket industry employees, AACF is rallying support for industry families affected by the blazes.
“We urgently need industry support in a couple of key ways,” said Joel Ayres, AACF executive director.
He explained that companies with California employees, dealers or shops are urged to send email or text message notifications to those who might be affected to provide a link to the AACF online application for aid.
“Also, industry members can help us raise emergency funds for the relief effort by visiting http://bit.ly/AACF-Cares,” he noted. “As with last year’s unprecedented hurricane season, the wildfires in California are catastrophic and ongoing. Our mission is to provide emergency gap funding to aftermarket employees in times of crisis when they have nowhere else to turn.”
Donations of any amount are welcome, with donations of $2,500 or more most needed. For more information, contact Ayres at (916) 628-0271 or email joel@aftermarketfoundation.org.
