Ken Block’s Hoonigan Racing division recently debuted two new Ford Transit Vans customized by Galpin Auto Sports (GAS). The vans will support Ken and the Hoonigan Racing Division team as they compete in events around the world, from stage rallies in New Zealand to Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom.
World Rally Championship teams in the ’80s and ’90s used service vans with liveries matched to their team’s rally car. Block will campaign a 1990s Ford Escort RS Cosworth and the team thought it fitting to capture the essence of the period by creating these vans.
Galpin Auto Sports’ mission was to help the team maximize space for equipment while applying a livery design to match the Escort rally car. They also installed brush guards, off-road tires and a number of other options.
