Classic Recreations to Produce Ford Bronco Resto-Mod

Classic Recreations, a builder of high-performance custom and continuation vehicles, has announced a production line of early model Ford Bronco resto-mods. The reimagined off-roader, which starts with an original 1966-1977 donor body, honors the look of the original Bronco while infusing modern components and amenities. The Bronco is the first off-road offering from Classic Recreations and features a chassis from fabricator Roadster Shop (RS).

“In our business, timing is everything, so we have been studying the Bronco and classic 4×4 off-road market for several years,” said Founder and VP of Design and Engineering Jason Engel. “We took the time to see what needs aren’t being met from a consumer standpoint. Now, with the introduction of the Roadster Shop chassis, which is unmatched in design and engineering, and Ford’s reentry with their late model Bronco, the timing is perfect for us to introduce our one-of-a-kind Bronco.”

The Roadster Shop RS4 Ford Bronco chassis features 5-inch-by-2.5-inch .188 wall frame rails, which adds a significant amount of strength compared to the standard version, Classic Recreations said. Eliminating the need for a body lift, Roadster Shop increased the ride height for a more aggressive stance.

The off-roader will be powered by a Ford Performance Gen 3 5.0L Coyote crate engine that produces over 460 horsepower before included modifications. Additionally, the Bronco offering features a Vaporworx fuel pump and a BeCool aluminum crossflow radiator with two electric cooling fans. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission with a 4×4 Atlas Transfer Case. This transfer case also allows the vehicle to be flat towed. The Bronco is also equipped with a custom mandrel-bent exhaust and stainless steel MagnaFlow muffler.

The Classic Recreations Ford Bronco features Fox Racing 2.5 Factory Race Series coilovers tuned with RS-specific valving. It is also equipped with RS Fast Link 1.75-inch front and rear 4-bars with X-axis sealed bearing assemblies, an RS Billet Sway Bar Arm Upgrade, front and rear, and an upgraded Currie Rock Jock High Pinion Dana 44 front and 60 rear axles. To stabilize the suspension, Classic Recreations opted for a Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer Kit and Fox Factory 2.0 Bump Stop Kit.

The off-road rig is fitted with BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires mounted on American Racing wheels. Stopping power is provided via Roadster Shop 6-piston upgraded brakes, cross-drilled with vented rotors.

The interior of Classic Recreations Ford Bronco is outfitted with custom TMI seats, a Focal FPX 5.1200 5-channel AMP, Focal Access Series speakers and Focal Flax Subwoofer with a ported box.

The Bronco will be available in a full range of standard and custom colors and in addition to several accessory upgrade options.
