Demand Moves CORSA Performance into Long Tube Headers
Since the debut of CORSA Performance‘s exhaust systems with patented no drone, Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology in the late 1990s, customers have often issued a familiar refrain. “Does CORSA Performance offer headers?”
The answer to that question- in 2018-is now in the affirmative.
CORSA Performance in late 2017 debuted a portion of its offering of long tube header applications at the SEMA Show, including applications for 2011-’14 Mustang GT, 2015-’17 Mustang GT, C5 Corvette, C6 Corvette and C7 Corvette. Those are now and represent about half of the applications CORSA Performance expects to bring to market before summer.
“This logical extension of our product line has been a long time coming,” said Brent Noward, marketing manager for TMG Performance Products. “We pride ourselves on listening to our consumers and delivering on their desires and expectations. The request for headers from CORSA Performance has been one of those areas we just haven’t been able to deliver against for our consumers until now.
“This project has been in the works for over a year and once concluded, we will have headers for many of our most popular car applications including Corvette, Mustang, Challenger, Charger, 300, Camaro, Cadillac CTS-V, Mustang GT350 and Mustang GT500,” he added. “With a product line addition of this magnitude we’ve wanted to make sure we take the time to do this right, ensuring not only the fitment and finish meet CORSA expectations but the performance as well.”
CORSA Performance’s long tube headers, when paired with the company’s cat-back exhaust systems, will achieve over 40 horsepower and 30 ft-lbs of torque on 2015-’17 Mustang GT and 2014-’18 Corvette applications, according to the company. Most applications will deliver gains in excess of 30 horsepower and 20 ft-lbs of torque.
CORSA Performance Long Tube Headers feature a 304 stainless steel construction, 3/8-inch laser cut flanges, ideal port geometry, 3-inch collectors with scavenging spikes and all the hardware necessary to perform installation, according to the company.
CORSA Performance headers are available in two configurations: long tube header only or long tube header with CORSA Performance connection pipes that allow for a fit to CORSA Performance mid-pipes or cat-back exhaust systems.
All CORSA Performance exhaust products are handcrafted in the U.S.
