Shelby American Launches Championship Edition Shelby F-150 Off-Road Truck
Limited to 54 units, the Championship Edition celebrates the 60th Anniversary of Shelby American racing victories at Sebring, Daytona & Le Mans…
A limited Championship Edition Shelby F-150 Off-Road truck will be available from Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., in celebration of the company’s trio of racing victories in 1966, company officials stated in a press release.
Built by Shelby Performance in Bristol, Indiana, only 54 of the trucks will be manufactured, with new paint schemes that honor the 60th anniversary of Shelby wins at Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans. Each will feature 810-plus horsepower, advanced off-road suspension, anniversary badges and other options. The limited number of Championship Edition trucks will be available through a nationwide network of dealers.
“The Championship Edition Ford Shelby F-150 Off-Road truck was designed for winners,” said Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American. “Together, Ford Motor Company and Shelby beat the world’s best on the biggest international stage during 1966, changing the course of motorsports and the American automobile industry. It was seen as a win for the American working man over European bluebloods. That legacy is worthy of this exceptional truck featuring another first for Shelby.”
Performance Specs – 810-Plus Horsepower & Off-Road Capability
Recently announced, the Shelby F-150 gives the Ford truck additional capabilities, noted the release. The 4-wheel drive Shelby F-150 boasts an 810-plus 5.0-liter V-8 with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Power is transferred through a proprietary premium full suspension lift system featuring King suspension. The Shelby’s BFGoodrich 35-inch KO3 tires ride on 22-inch alloy wheels. Large Baer drilled and slotted brake rotors stop the truck.
“The Shelby F-150 Off-Road truck is extremely capable, both on and off the road,” said Vince LaViolette, Shelby American vice president of operations. “It’s been proven and improved through many hours and test miles across various terrain. And as a racer, I’m proud that we’re honoring some of my personal heroes who won the triple crown of endurance racing in 1966.”
Three Championship Liveries Honor Sebring, Daytona & Le Mans
The 54 total number of Shelby F-150 Off-Road pickups for the 2026 model year will be repainted, striped and badged in three versions (18 each) to honor the Shelby American race team’s wins at Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans during the 1966 Championship run, the company said. Each will receive a “Championship Edition” side stripe and bear one of three Championship Edition liveries:
- Pearl Orange in honor of the Daytona victory
- Pearl Green to commemorate the Sebring overall win
- Pearl Blue in honor of the 24 Hours of Le Mans win
Exterior & Interior Upgrades
The trucks have a carbon-fiber intake tube feeding a Shelby-engineered stage 2 supercharger that was powder-coated to match the exclusive exterior color. Other elements include unique exterior and interior badges, special upholstery stitching to match the exterior paint and a unique Shelby serial number that will be listed in the official Shelby Registry.
“This is the first time that a Shelby truck has been offered to the public with a completely repainted exterior, making it an instant collectible,” said Brock Patterson, Shelby Performance director of sales and marketing. “Each of the 54 total Championship Edition Shelby F-150 Off-Road trucks will be refinished at our facility, then delivered to its lucky owner through an authorized Shelby dealer. The trucks will include a special serial number, membership in the Team Shelby community and a certificate confirming its exclusive status. This will be a very small and special ownership club.”
The Championship Edition Shelby F-150 Off-Road truck also features an aluminum functional intake ram air hood, DOT-compliant grille and fenders, power deployable running boards and rock guards. Custom touches include body color smooth fender flares, painted front bumper cover, painted replacement grille, painted front fender vents and tonneau cover, as well as full body stripes.
The Shelby F-150 Off-Road has exclusive full leather seat covers, digital gauges, custom carbon fiber accents, embroidered floor mats and billet racing pedals. Each comes with special badges and a CSM serialized plate inside.
Pricing, Warranty & Availability
The 2026 Championship Edition Shelby F-150 Off-Road has an MSRP of $158,795, including a fully loaded Lariat 4×4, F-150 SuperCrew chassis with a 5.0 engine, which has an estimated MSRP of $77,170. The trucks come with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. The powertrain warranty from Ford Motor Company remains intact.
Each of these 54 light-duty trucks will be documented in the official Shelby Registry, and the owner will become a member of Team Shelby, the official enthusiast club. These trucks will also be listed in Black Book, the company said.
