The official Formula 1 hospitality concept, F1 Arcade, is officially coming to Chicago. Set to open this summer at 1 West Grand Avenue, previously Rock Bottom Brewery, the venue marks F1 Arcade’s arrival in one of the country’s most influential food, nightlife and culture capitals, company officials stated in a press release.

F1 Arcade Chicago promises to deliver an elevated social racing experience that blends the glamour of Formula 1 with the city’s renowned hospitality scene. The venue houses 70 full-motion racing simulators (designed in conjunction with Formula 1), allowing guests to experience being behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car.

From first timers to seasoned fans, guests can race on the cutting-edge simulators across the world’s most iconic Formula 1 circuits, from the Las Vegas Strip Circuit to the Circuit of the Americas, noted the release. Featuring multiple game modes, each simulator will allow guests to race in team-based groups or individually, as well as offering a range of skill settings, from Rookie to Elite, making it accessible to all ages.

As home to official Formula 1 Watch Parties, F1 Arcade is the only place in the country where guests can watch a Grand Prix and race on an iconic track at the same time, the company said.

From Racing to the Rooftop

The new F1 Arcade will introduce a rooftop experience, making Chicago the debut city for this new chapter of the brand. The rooftop terrace will serve as a destination for warm-weather socializing and skyline views. Inside, the space is anchored by F1 Arcade’s signature Octane Bar on the main floor, and the food menu pairs globally inspired dishes with elevated shareable favorites.

“Chicago is a city that thrives on energy, competition and unforgettable experiences, which makes it a natural home for F1 Arcade,” said Jon Gardner, president of Global Development, F1 Arcade. “With our U.S. headquarters based here, bringing F1 Arcade to River North feels especially meaningful. From our first-ever rooftop to Chicago-inspired cocktails and world-class simulators, this venue is designed specifically for the city and its culture. We cannot wait to welcome Chicagoans to race, connect and experience F1 Arcade in an entirely new way.”

The Chicago opening follows recent U.S. launches in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Denver, Las Vegas and Atlanta, representing the next phase of F1 Arcade’s expansion, anchored by its U.S. headquarters in Chicago.
