TireHub Adds First Regional Distribution Center
Allentown facility will increase speed to market of premium products in the Northeast…
Nationwide tire distributor TireHub has launched its first Regional Distribution Center (RDC), underscoring a commitment to providing industry-leading service and premium products to tire dealers and retailers, the company stated.
Located just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania, the 360,000-square-foot building services TireHub’s Northeast logistics centers by providing market-specific products and accelerated delivery times, the company noted.
“Our regional distribution center streamlines and enhances our service levels in the northeast and is intended to give our customers more breadth and depth of premium Goodyear and Bridgestone products,” said TireHub CEO Ted Becker. “Customers in the region are already experiencing improved service levels. We will continue to explore ways to give them the support they need to run their business more efficiently.”
TireHub now operates 78 logistics centers across the country. In the last 18 months, it has added or relocated 13 centers, including recent relocations in Birmingham, Alabama; Oakland, California; and Minneapolis. Coming soon, the company plans to open additional centers in the Boston and St. Louis markets, officials stated.
