Yokohama Tire Launches Educational Videos for Tire Safety Week

During U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association’s National Tire Safety Week 2026, which ran from June 29-July 4, Yokohama Tire’s “Pit Crew” released four new fun, tire-centric educational videos.

“In these videos, the energetic Yokohama Pit Crew characters (who are also featured in the recent ‘Pit Life’ commercial spot) are front-and-center showing consumers the significance of tire safety and care in a fun-to-watch format,” said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama’s senior director of marketing.

The first video released was “Know Your Tire Pressure,” while the other videos that were posted throughout Tire Safety Week cover vital subjects such as tire alignment, rotation and tire storage. Videos can be found at Yokohama’s social channels, including facebook.com/yokohamatire and instagram.com/yokohamatire.

“It’s important for consumers to know that tires influence the braking, steering, comfort, handling, safety and fuel efficiency of the vehicle, and that they are also the only parts that actually touch the road,” added Holtschneider. “Capitalizing on our motorsports heritage and ongoing racing presence, we think these videos stay true to our brand and will help educate them on understanding tires and the significance of tire safety in a fun new presentation.”
