Unplugged Performance Reveals Dune-Inspired UP INVINCIBLE Cybertruck

Unplugged Performance has delivered a Tesla Cybertruck built to the full specification of its UP INVINCIBLE program, finished in a desert-sand exterior, company officials announced in a press release.

“There are many Cybertruck owners who appreciate the road-focused factory configuration, with its efficiency-oriented tires and utilitarian stainless-steel exterior. The UP INVINCIBLE program was created for those seeking a more distinctive, expressive and capable vehicle, one engineered to confidently explore the wide range of terrain found across our country and around the world. It is built for Cybertruck owners who want the freedom to pursue adventure, wherever the destination may lead,” said Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance.

UP INVINCIBLE: The Program

UP INVINCIBLE is a comprehensive upgrade path that converts a stock Cybertruck into a purpose-built expedition vehicle. The program upgrades the Cybertruck’s factory plastic components into ultra-heavy-duty steel, replaces the cast factory wheels with stronger forged wheels, and pairs that durability with integrated lighting, forged beadlock wheels, suspension control and expedition-ready storage. This latest build combines two of the program’s most complete packages.

The Stage 3 Expedition Package ($20,605) forms the foundation, bundling off-road protection, utility, integrated lighting and premium carbon-fiber components into one upgrade path.

The Stage 3 Pursuit Package ($7,100) addresses how the vehicle stops and handles. Steel armor, roof-mounted equipment, and a larger wheel-and-tire package change how a Cybertruck behaves. Pursuit restores control in proportion to the capability added.

Front-End Architecture Upgrades

At the leading edge, the UP INVINCIBLE steel bull bar carries an integrated 32-inch light bar running native to the Cybertruck’s 48-volt architecture, with no converters and no auxiliary loom built around a 12-volt part. The bull bar carries 30 LEDs in a combo pattern with 1,130 yards of visibility and mounts to a heavy-duty off-road steel front bumper in place of the factory plastic bumper.

The Expedition Package also adds a pair of 11-inch light pods to the front bumper, positioned as ditch lights. They illuminate the immediate periphery, the edges of the trail and the obstacle sitting outside the main beam pattern.

Above them sits a pre-preg carbon-fiber, Kevlar-reinforced hood carrying a curved 50-inch light bar—also native 48-volt—integrated into the hood structure. The hood-integrated bar carries 48 individual LEDs in a combo beam pattern, providing 1,145 yards of visibility. The curvature and elevation are deliberate: the hood bar and the bull bar illuminate different ground. Run together, they extend the field of vision across two planes, so nothing ahead of the vehicle arrives as a surprise, noted the release.

Wheels, Tires & Stance

The Pursuit Package ships with a set of UP Forged UP.FIT wheels; however, this customer opted to upgrade to 20×9-inch UP-03 Beadlock wheels in Satin Black, wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires. The wheel offers two mounting configurations: a DOT-approved non-beadlock setup for road use, and a true beadlock configuration for heavy off-road work, where low tire pressure and high instantaneous torque would otherwise let the bead unseat from the rim. Black DLC-coated titanium lug nuts secure the wheels, shedding weight against factory hardware and holding their finish through repeated removal.

Satin dry carbon-fiber wide-body fender flares add 20 millimeters per side at the front and 30 millimeters per side at the rear, a total track width increase of 60 millimeters (2.3 inches). The flares keep the tire package covered while adding minimal mass, and the wider track improves stability under the weight this build carries up high.

Heavy-duty UP INVINCIBLE steel rock sliders and integrated side steps shield the Cybertruck’s sides against rock strikes, ruts and the scrapes that turn into structural damage.

Roof, Racks & Expedition Storage

A four-bar roof rack system expands the Cybertruck’s carrying capacity for spare wheels, cargo boxes, traction boards and water. Within the Expedition Package, the front rack carries a 50-inch double-row light bar, adding a fourth lighting plane at maximum elevation for long-range visibility across open terrain. The 96-LED double-row bar delivers 38,400 raw lumens at a 6000K color temperature, reaching beyond 3,000 feet and delivering 1 lux of illumination at 507 yards.

MOLLE side sails run along the sail panels, providing modular mounting points for gear, lighting and storage accessories. The MOLLE system is universal across the program, so mounting hardware specified for the sails also fits the rear swing arms.

Rear-End Architecture

A heavy-duty UP INVINCIBLE steel rear bumper replaces the factory unit with an integrated hitch, integrated lighting and significantly improved rear clearance. By raising the departure angle 2.7 degrees beyond Tesla’s claimed 28-degree factory specification, the bumper delivers a total departure angle of 30.7 degrees, helping the Cybertruck clear steep exits and off-road obstacles that could cause the factory bumper to make contact, company officials said.

The Expedition Package includes an optional rear side step, improving access to the bed on a lifted truck carrying a loaded roof rack.

A dual swing-arm system is mounted to the rear bumper and uses the same universal MOLLE architecture found on the side sails. Left- and right-side swing arms open the rear of the vehicle into an expandable storage platform for recovery gear, water cans or a spare tire, and swing clear for full bed access. Unplugged Performance also offers a fifth-wheel carrier that mounts to the swing arm system.

Suspension, Handling & Braking

CYBRSHOCKS rear secondary shocks improve rebound and compression control at the rear axle, holding the vehicle settled across washboard, whoops and rutted terrain instead of packing down or wallowing. Drivers gain speed across rough ground.

A three-way adjustable rear sway bar with polyurethane bushings lets the owner tune handling balance to the vehicle’s use. Highway transit, technical rock work and open desert reward different roll stiffness, and the adjustment happens by hand at the bar.

Upgraded front and rear brake pads restore stopping confidence in proportion to what the build adds, the company said.

Finish: PPF, Carbon & Bed Liner

Unplugged Performance operates as a premium wrap installer for the Cybertruck alongside its hardware program, with dozens of vehicles finished at its Hawthorne, California, facility.

The desert exterior on this build comes from a full wrap in customer-supplied FlexiShield Dune, a colored paint protection film. Built from thermoplastic polyurethane, it performs as clear PPF does, guarding against rock chips, road debris, and UV, while carrying color through the film itself. The construction gives it self-healing behavior: light scratches and swirl marks recover with heat from the sun or a heat gun. It resists hard water spotting, acid rain and solvents, and it holds its color where vinyl yellows and cracks.

The exposed carbon-fiber hood and all four carbon-fiber fenders wear XPEL clear paint protection film, which shields those surfaces without obscuring the weave. The bed and other rear plastic components carry a sprayed-in bedliner for a textured and impact-resistant bed surface that will haul recovery equipment and other items. Bed liner finishing is a new capability through Unplugged Performance Tesla Services.
