Turn 14 Distribution-Sponsored Formula Drift Driver Announces Retirement

After 18 years competing as a driver in the Formula Drift championship, Turn 14 Distribution driver Daijiro Yoshihara is retiring from the series, the performance parts distributor announced.

During his time in the series, Daijiro, who is known by his fans as Dai, participated in 128 events, stood on the podium 28 times, won 8 events and claimed the 2011 Formula Drift Championship.

Daijiro will be leaving the series to pursue other opportunities as a professional driver and brand ambassador, along with other business ventures. The reduced travel time will also allow him to spend more time with his wife and two young sons, he said.

“The FD series and the United States has provided me and my family so many opportunities. The fans, friends and relationships that I’ve made along the way have been amazing,” Daijiro said. “Thank you for your support, and most of all, a lifetime of experiences and memories.”
