MOMO was founded in 1964 by Italian race car driver Gianpiero Moretti after he had a custom steering wheel crafted for his own racecar, and now predominantly focuses on light alloy road wheels. The company sells a wide range of performance products for the aftermarket and motorsports industries, the company said, and has carried on developing racing products, incorporating ambitious technological goals, and continuing to improve its products’ quality, safety and superior design. MOMO was the exclusive supplier of steering wheels for the GP2 Championships in Europe and Asia and also developed a new generation of steering wheels for NASCAR, the company said.
