Turn 14 Distribution Adds Akrapovič Audi RS Q8 (4M) Evolution Line Titanium Exhaust
Akrapovič has released its Audi RS Q8 (4M) Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust and Downpipe/Link Pipe Set, which is now available at Turn 14 Distribution, the sole U.S. automotive distributor for Akrapovič.
The Evolution Line exhaust system is constructed entirely from lightweight, high-grade titanium. It features a central muffler flanked by two valves, with each valve housing cast at Akrapovic’s in-house foundry. The system features an X-connection in the middle section and comfort mode is also available to the driver. The system is finished with carbon fiber sleeved titanium tailpipes exiting on both rear sides of the vehicle.
Testing conducted on Akrapovič’s in-house dyno during back-to-back runs yielded power gains of 6.2 hp at 6,200 rpm and a torque increase of 4.4 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm compared to the stock Audi RS Sport exhaust system, while also providing a 41% weight savings, the company says.
The Evolution Line can be upgraded with a Downpipe/Link Pipe Set built from stainless steel containing 200 cpsi sport catalytic converters. The link pipes feature custom-made flex tubes, with insulation at the connection point to the downpipes. The addition of downpipe and link pipes will require remapping the ECU. An Akrapovič Sound Kit is also available for more enhanced sound control.
Installation of the Evolution Line on vehicles without gasoline particulate filter or installing any optional products does not meet emission compliance requirements for street or highway use.
