“I have been serving in the automotive aftermarket for approximately 40 years. Like many others, I started my career as a lead counter salesperson. I have been allowed to grow into many different roles throughout my career with the help of many role models and mentors. Some roles consisted of assistant store manager, district manager and regional sales manager. In my 40-year career, I have worked for three different organizations: AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts and XL Parts,” said Slocum on his appointment. “I follow a simple but effective process that I like to call the ‘PPP’: people, product and presentation. With this simple but laser-focused approach, teams tend to engage, and it translates to the ultimate customer experience.”

Tristan Taylor, CEO of Tri-State, added, “Brian has demonstrated his drive and passion for the automotive industry through the progression of his career. He has exercised his ability to lead from previous roles, and we are very excited to have him join the TSE team.”
