TMI Products Reveals the Third Winner of Its 2025 TRIM Road Tour

John Wargo from The Custom Shop took home the trophy with his 1969 Camaro known as DSTROYR for its attention to detail inside & out…

Designer and manufacturer of custom automotive interiors, TMI Products, has announced the third winner of its 2025 TRIM Road Tour. The TRIM Road Tour is a multi-stop competition that spotlights the best TMI-equipped vehicles from across the nation, leading up to the TMI Products TRIM Awards at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, stated company officials in a press release.

John Wargo from The Custom Shop took top honors with his 1969 Camaro at the 27th Summit Racing Goodguys Nationals presented by PPG on July 13th in Columbus, Ohio. Known as DSTROYR, the F-body exemplifies what TMI looks for in a custom interior, from color selection to attention to the smallest detail, noted the release.

Wargo’s Camaro features a House of Kolor Pro Spray Gray paint job with custom graphics and an orange racing stripe. This graphic is carried under the hood, mirroring the outside paint, and giving the engine bay an eye-catching look. Under the hood, it showcases a legendary 427ci LSX small-block V-8 churning out 780 horsepower.

The car sits on a Fast Track Roadster Shop chassis, and the Boze Wheels are custom-painted to match the color theme of the car, with black spokes and orange wheel lips that tie back to the interior design.

TMI states that with perfectly executed paint on the outside, the eye follows the seamless flow of color to the full custom interior. Featuring TMI Pro Series Low-Back Seats wrapped in orange Apex Leather with a one-off insert design—this build is all about detail. John also created a one-off floating headrest that ties into the roll cage but is not connected to the TMI Low-Back Seats. The innovative floating headrest allows for a clear view into the custom rear seat delete sub-woofer enclosure.

As the third of five 2025 TRIM Road Tour winners, Wargo will compete against four others for the 2025 TRIM Road Tour championship. That winner will earn a trip to the SEMA Show (November 4-7, 2025) and a Top 20 finalist spot at the TMI Products’ Trim Awards event, a pass to the SEMA Show, a feature parking spot at the SEMA Show, and a five-night hotel stay during the event.

On February 2, 2025, at the 75th Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, Jim McKay became the first winner of the five-stop TRIM Road Tour, with his 1972 Ford Bronco.

Ruben Terrazas’ 1968 Chevy C10 was chosen as the second stop winner of the TMI TRIM Road Tour at the C10 Nationals held May 9-10, 2025.

The Next Two Stops for the 2025 TRIM Road Tour

Two stops remain on the 2025 TRIM Road Tour, and there is still time to enter a vehicle for consideration at one of the upcoming shows, which include:

  • TMI Cars & Clearance in Corona, California (Aug. 16, 2025)
  • Triple Crown of Rodding in Nashville, Tennessee (Sept. 5-6, 2025).
