Street Car Takeover Raises Thousands for First Responders

The Street Car Takeover Kick Off Party in Kansas City, Missouri last month raised over $8,000 for the Taking It To The Streets Foundation during the car show. The foundation helps first responders of natural disasters by providing them with food, water, restrooms and first aid during their long hours of assisting others in need.

“It was insane,” the owners of SCT told the DeatschWerks marketing team. “So many people came out to support a good cause and support the car community. There were so many awesome cars, you literally saw almost everything. We were pleased to raise over $8,000 for the Taking It To The Streets Foundation and we cannot wait until next year-we may need a bigger lot.”

Street Car Takeover held their annual season kick-off party this past month at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City. Just like the previous year, the parking lots filled up within the first few hours with a wide variety of cars ranging from old school muscle, imports, exotics, lowriders, trucks, and bikes. Over 4,000 cars and 20,000 spectators turned out.

DeatschWerks, which submitted this news item, had a booth set up right next to the SCT tent.
