Iconic automotive brand Stant is returning to the automotive aftermarket after years of focusing on its original equipment (OE) partnerships. With more than a century in business, Stant is once again diving into the independent side of the market, bringing its familiar red logo joined by the brand’s yellow and blue aftermarket colors that will be returning to retailers soon.
Announcing its return during the AAPEX Show in November is Las Vegas, Stant is best known for its vapor management systems, fuel delivery components and thermal management technologies. During the show Tom Sape, business development manager for Stant Aftermarket, saw firsthand the high level of engagement and nostalgia among attendees.
“Surprisingly, everybody was like, ‘I thought you guys were out.’ Everybody was happy to see us back,” Sape said. “(We saw) a lot of excitement, a lot of inquiries from wholesale distributors in the United States, the Middle East and Central America.”
Tier 1 Global Processes
Stant components are engineered in the United States and manufactured using Tier 1 global processes to deliver zero-defect reliability, OE-fit precision and performance that meets or exceeds factory standards, according to officials. Products undergo safety testing to help ensure real-world performance.
For example, a minor collision at the rear quarter panel that affects the fuel delivery system is designed to leave a Stant gas cap plugging the fill, even if the cap is struck and breaks. During refueling, the patented Stant tether helps keep the cap from falling, while the cap’s anti-static design significantly reduces the chance of static discharge.
Stant’s return to the aftermarket blends 120 years of engineering heritage with a focused, pragmatic approach to new relationships and regions, according to the company.
