Founded in 1952 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith, Speedway Motors started as a small parts shop, in Lincoln, Neb. Today, Speedway Motors offers more than 250,000 products for race, street, muscle and hot rods. With retail stores and three distribution centers they provide parts to customers and shops across the country.

“Our G-Comp suspension was the perfect bolt on solution for Detroit Muscle’s Project Starstruck,” said Joe McCollough, marketing and content project coordinator. “We have extensively tested these suspension systems, so we can be sure that the performance of this Chevy II will exceed the expectations of the Detroit Muscle crew.”

McCollough visited the Detroit Muscle shop during installation of the front and rear suspension, which is featured on the show.

“Our G-Comp suspensions are complete bolt-in kits that replace the stock front subframe and rear suspension,” McCollough added. “These suspension systems are designed, engineered, and tested right here in Lincoln, Nebraska to add modern performance to classic muscle cars.”

Speedway Motors also provided adjustable coilover shocks and front and rear disc brakes to complement the G-Comp performance suspension. See a complete build list of all of the parts provided for this project.
