SpeedKore Unveils ‘GHOST’ 1970 Dodge Charger
The Hellcat-powered custom Mopar build debuted at GNRS…
SpeedKore announces “Ghost,” a reimagining of Dodge’s 1970 Charger.
The custom chassis features a full carbon fiber body, floor and wheel tubs crafted and cured at SpeedKore using aerospace-grade carbon fiber.
“Our goal is to meld timeless design, advanced composites and performance to redefine what the American muscle car should be.” said Jim Kacmarcik, president and owner of SpeedKore, a Kacmarcik Enterprises Company.
Power comes from a reworked 6.2L Hellcat delivering more than 700 hp, with a TREMEC TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission. Power is sent through a Driveshaft Shop carbon-fiber driveshaft and Strange 9-inch rear end.
The supercharged V-8 features a one-off intake and custom four-into-one headers and custom exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers.
The 4-by-2-inch steel chassis connects to a 14-point roll cage, which allows for a wider track and longer wheelbase. The SpeedKore perimeter frame conceals the fuel and oil lines within the frame rails.
Custom HRE 19×9-inch front and 20×12-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires help complete the look.
Additional components include:
- IDIDIT steering column
- Woodward steering rack
- Penske dual-adjustable coil-overs
- Detroit Speed double A-arm front suspension
- SpeedKore Four-bar diagonal link rear suspension
- Brembo six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors up front
- Brembo four-piston calipers at the rear
The EVOD grille is fitted with custom LED projector headlights from Dapper Lighting and JW Speaker. Shaved rain gutters and flush-mounted and trim-less glass allow the Charger’s lines to flow uninterrupted.
A SpeedKore carbon fiber taillight panel complements the “Coke bottle” contours.
The cabin features a custom carbon-fiber dash, door panels and rear interior quarter panels. The seats showcase custom leather by Manda Marie Upholstery and gauges from Classic Instruments.
A SpeedKore center console and Bluetooth audio system from KICKER Audio finish the interior experience.
