SoFlo Customs Offers Factory-Calibrated 392 Swaps for Wranglers & Gladiators
The new nationwide door-to-door service swaps the 6.4L 392 Hemi V-8 into Wranglers & Gladiators in three weeks, flashed to Jeep’s own factory calibration…
SoFlo Customs has announced that it now offers 6.4L Hemi V-8 conversions for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT. The company collects the vehicle from the owner’s driveway anywhere in the contiguous United States, installs a new 505-horsepower engine and 8-speed transmission at its Florida facility, and returns the truck, typically three weeks from pickup, with round-trip transport included in the price, company officials stated in a press release.
For a decade, the 392 has been gated behind a specific trim of a specific model year. For the Gladiator in particular, a factory 392 model has never been offered.
“People spend years getting a Jeep exactly the way they want it, and then the only way to get the engine they want is to get a new one,” said Joe Ghattas, founder and CEO of SoFlo Customs. “We want to make that engine upgrade as absolutely seamless as possible.”
PCM Flashed to Jeep’s 392 Factory Calibration
According to the company, what separates the conversion from a conventional V-8 swap is the PCM. Rather than writing a bespoke tune, SoFlo flashes each vehicle’s powertrain control module to Jeep’s own factory 392 calibration, then rebinds the immobilizer, ignition and gateway modules to the vehicle. Speedometer, tachometer, coolant temperature and oil pressure all read correctly afterward; fueling runs OEM closed-loop; and the finished truck remains fully scannable by Chrysler dealers and at emissions testing. The wiring harness is roughly 90% plug-and-play, and no splicing is required.
“A V-8 swap that leaves your gauges dead and your dealer unable to read the truck isn’t finished—it’s abandoned,” said Ghattas. “We flash to the factory 392 calibration because Jeep’s engineers already solved that problem. Our job is to install their answer correctly, not to reinvent it in a laptop.”

New Mopar Crate Engine & Complete Conversion Package
Every conversion uses a new Mopar crate engine. Each package includes a brand-new 6.4L 392 Hemi producing 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, a new 8-speed transmission, a 3.5-inch stainless steel exhaust from tip to tail, a new A/C compressor, cold-air intake, exhaust manifold, engine oil cooler and high-flow fuel pump, a new coolant reservoir and full hose routing, a high-output alternator with new belts, as well as all adapter plates, 392 engine mounts and ECU relocation brackets needed to mate the engine to the chassis.
Parts carry a 24-month, 24,000-mile warranty, and labor is covered for 12 months when SoFlo performs the installation, coverage that is unusual in a category where most swaps are sold as-is, the company said.
