Shelby American Reveals Latest Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor Lineup

Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc, is introducing a pair of high-performance Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor models. With a sophisticated suspension, upgraded cooling, styling enhancements and up to 1,000-plus horsepower on pump gasoline, the lineup is the most capable Shelby off-road truck in its history, company officials stated in a press release. Built by Shelby Performance in Bristol, Indiana, the V-6 Shelby Baja Raptor and 5.2L Predator V-8-powered Shelby Raptor R edition trucks are available in limited quantities through a nationwide network of dealers.

“Carroll Shelby was committed to being number one at everything he did, from the races he won worldwide to the vehicles he built after retiring from the driver’s seat,” said Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American. “His belief that ‘second place was first loser’ continues today at Shelby American. Our latest Shelby edition Raptor trucks are carefully engineered to deliver amazing performance both on and off road. And with up to 1,000 horsepower, these trucks have the muscle to stay out front.”

Built on a Decade of Shelby Raptor Development

Launched at the 2013 New York Auto Show, the first Shelby edition Raptor had a 6.2L V-8 engine making 575 horsepower. In addition to adding power, Shelby enhanced the truck’s suspension, cooling and styling. The latest models build on those successful trucks, as well as lessons learned from upgrading the 2020-22 Shelby GT500 supercars with the 5.2L V-8 to create the Shelby GT500SE and GT500 “King of the Road” (KR) models, noted the release.

“Carroll Shelby was a big fan of high-performance off-roading, so he was involved in concepting our first Shelby edition Ford Raptor before he passed,” said Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. “His directive was to build the ultimate off-road runner that could still be fun to drive on the street. We’ve never strayed from his philosophy and with almost double the horsepower of that first model, he would have been pleased this truck.”

The latest Shelby version of the Ford F-150 Raptor is available in either the turbocharged V-6-powered model or the “R” with a supercharged Predator V-8. Shelby American worked closely with partners like Ford Performance and Whipple to create its vision of the truck, the company said. Leveraging the capabilities of the Ford Raptor, it has more power, refinement, technology and handling capabilities.

“Some companies have an ‘easy button,’ but we have a ‘more button’ at Shelby,” said Vince LaViolette, Shelby American vice president of operations. “More power, more cooling, more styling, more capabilities. And each ‘more’ equals ‘better’ at Shelby. During the design and testing phase, we honed the trucks through countless miles across various terrains. It’s the ultimate high-performance truck that everyone on our team would be proud to personally drive.”

Performance Upgrades & Styling Details

The Shelby F-150 Raptors also feature an aluminum functional intake ram air hood, DOT-compliant grille and fenders, power deployable running boards and rock guards. The Shelby has a functional high-clearance front bumper by Addictive Desert Designs and LED lighting for any occasion, along with Shelby badges. Custom touches include body-color smooth fender flares and painted replacement grille, as well as full body stripes.

Shelby modifies the Raptor’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine to create an additional 100 horsepower, replaces the hood with a lightweight unit featuring functional scoops, 18-inch Shelby Raptor two-toned wheels shod with 37-inch premium mud terrain tires, a heat shield, additional cooling, chase rack with all-new 9-pod power actuated led light bar by Vision X, and a pair of full-size matching spare wheel and tire mounts.

The 5.2L V-8-powered R is even more capable with the suspension and cooling mods, along with a Shelby-tuned Borla performance exhaust and Shelby by Whipple supercharger. The post title performance package includes a Bengal Red powder-coated 3.8L supercharger and intake manifold on the Predator motor that helps boost output to over 1,000 horsepower.

Inside, the Shelby theme continues across the full leather seat covers, digital gauges, custom carbon fiber accents, embroidered floor mats and billet racing pedals. Each comes with special badges and a CSM serialized plate inside.

The 2026 Shelby F-150 V-6 Raptor has an MSRP of $146,795 while the Shelby F-150 Raptor R carries an MSRP of $194,795; both include a fully loaded F-150 Raptor. The trucks come with a 3 year/36,000-mile warranty. The powertrain warranty from Ford Motor Company remains intact.

Pricing, Warranty & Availability

The trucks will be offered through select Shelby Performance Ford dealers across the United States. Each will be documented in the official Shelby Registry, and the owner will become a member of Team Shelby, the official enthusiast club. These trucks will also be listed in Black Book.
